Cara Delevingne Puts a Romantic Spin on the Classic Tux with a Silky Scarf Top

The ladies are loving a classic tux these days. Just this week, America Ferrera attended the Governors Awards in a custom Moschino tuxedo with square shoulders and high-waisted pants. Days before that, Annette Bening attended the Golden Globes in a Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo jacket—sans shirt underneath. And now, Cara Delevingne is giving the traditional tuxedo a shake-up.

The model was spotted getting out of her car in New York City on Tuesday wearing a long black tuxedo jacket. The piece was left open, revealing a silky ivory top from Stella McCartney with a built-in wrap scarf, which fell all the way to her knees.

Delevingne tucked the romantic top into a belted pair of black dress pants with a pleat down the center, and accessorized with a pair of platform sandals from MCM and mini gold hoop earrings. To add a bit of color to the fit, the Paper Towns actor carried a large rectangular tote, also from MCM, embossed with the brand’s logo in black.

As for her glam, Delevingne kept her hair pulled back into a tight bun and sported a bright red lip.

Black seems to be Delevingne’s color of choice these days. In December, she attended the Academy Museum Gala in a Del Core gown from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The off-the-shoulder, pleated ensemble included a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit on the side. She kept the monochromatic theme going with a pair of black opera gloves and platform heels, and accessorized with a dazzling silver necklace that mirrored the neckline of her dress.
