Epstein Case: Leonardo DiCaprio To Naomi Campbell, List Of Celebrities Named In Unsealed Documents

In a major development, a bunch of high-profile celebrities have been named in a total of 19 sealed documents from a lawsuit connected to Jeffrey Epstein, which were released publicly recently. Epstein, who was a convicted paedophile, died in a US jail before he could face trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

The Epstein list included in the unsealed papers carries the names of about 150 Epstein associates. The documents were filed as part of Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s co-conspirator in his sexual abuse scheme.

Celebrities named in the Epstein list

Along with political big-wigs, several celebrities have also been mentioned in the Epstein list. However, the names that have surfaced are based on discussions recounted by one of his accusers detailing his associations with famous people.

The following celebrities have been named in the Epstein list –

  • Leonardo DiCaprio
  • Naomi Campbell
  • Michael Jackson
  • Cameron Diaz
  • Stephen Hawking
  • Kevin Spacey
  • Bruce Willis
  • David Copperfield
  • Cate Blanchett

Johanna Sjoberg, an accuser of Epstein, cited celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, and Bruce Willis in her testimony, claiming Epstein boasted about them without presenting any evidence of their actual acquaintance. When asked about meeting Cameron Diaz, the alleged victim responded in the negative.

For the late pop star Michael Jackson, Sjoberg asserted meeting him at Epstein’s Palm Beach residence, clarifying that her interaction with Jackson did not involve massaging, a task she was assigned for Epstein.

About the Jeffrey Epstein case

On July 6, 2019, Epstein was arrested by the FBI-NYPD Crimes Against Children Task Force at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on sex trafficking charges. He was jailed at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City. The documents are part of a 2015 civil defamation suit brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an American woman who claimed Epstein sexually abused her as a minor and that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former girlfriend, aided in the abuse.

Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022. Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting sex trafficking charges. Hundreds of pages of unsealed documents from a lawsuit connected to the accused sex trafficker were publicly released on Wednesday, January 3.
