Jamie Spears, the embattled father and former conservator of singer Britney Spears, has been photographed in his first public appearance since undergoing a leg amputation.
The 71-year-old was seen being wheeled out of a warehouse in Kentwood, Louisiana, by another man who assisted him into a wheelchair.
Jamie Spears will get a prosthetic leg
Sporting an olive green sweatshirt, a black puffer jacket, and black pants with the right leg cinched off, Jamie’s outing revealed the challenges he is facing following his leg amputation in November.
The right leg was partially amputated, four inches above his knee.
A source revealed to Paga Six that Jamie underwent multiple unsuccessful surgeries before resorting to the amputation, which was deemed a “last resort.”
“He’s still living in an RV next to Britney’s storage warehouse with all her stuff in it,” an insider shared, adding that Jamie had faced health complications, including a severe infection resulting from a knee replacement.
Despite being fitted with a prosthetic leg, Jamie is currently relying on a wheelchair and walker until he fully adapts.
Britney Spears, who has been estranged from her father, has not publicly commented on Jamie’s health but shared a throwback photo on Instagram shortly after news of the amputation surfaced.
Sources suggest Britney has no intention of reconciling with Jamie, especially after detailing his control over her personal and financial decisions during the conservatorship.
The Grammy winner has likened her father to a “cult leader” and accused him of exploiting her success for financial gain.
Despite reconnecting with her mother, Lynn, Britney has maintained her distance from Jamie, who allegedly paid himself an estimated $6 million throughout Britney’s conservatorship.
