Alyssa Milano’s mom refutes Shannen Doherty’s claim that she caused tension between ‘Charmed’ cast

The plot thickens.

Alyssa Milano’s mom, Lin, is refuting Shannen Doherty’s claims that the mother-daughter duo contributed to the drama between the leads of “Charmed.”

Lin reportedly told TMZ on Tuesday that she categorically denies Doherty’s accusations that the Milanos blocked her from visiting Holly Marie Combs in the hospital after she had surgery to remove a tumor from her uterus in 1999.

Lin questioned how she and Alyssa would have even been able to stop people from entering Combs’ hospital room, as well as Doherty claiming that the pair caused tension between her and Combs on the set of The WB drama.

Combs claimed Monday on Doherty’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast that “there was a lot going on behind the scenes” on “Charmed” during this time, but admitted that Doherty not being able to visit her in the hospital left her feeling “abandoned.”

But Lin claims she could not have contributed to the tension between the actresses as she was not on set every day and had her own business to look after.

She even alleged that Combs was friendly with the Milano family and would often come over for dinner as the “Pretty Little Liars” actress’ parents didn’t live nearby.

Lin closed by telling the outlet that she wishes Doherty, who is going through a battle with cancer, all the best.

The Post has contacted reps for Alyssa and Lin, as well as Doherty for comment.

Doherty claimed on her podcast that she “cried every single night” while filming “Season 2” of the series.

Combs said of that time, “I also wanted everybody to get along. I wanted the show to be successful. There were no angels, there were no demons. We all had bad days, we all had good days. We all could have behaved better at certain points but there was a lack of awareness of a bigger broader picture.”

Doherty left “Charmed” at the end of Season 3 amid rumors of the friction between her and Milano getting more intense.

“There was too much drama on the set and not enough passion for the work,” she told Entertainment Tonight in 2001.

Milano addressed Doherty’s departure in her own interview with Entertainment Weekly that year, “I think it’s hard when you put two very different people together. I’m very laid-back and passive. I have my Buddha. I come in here and meditate. (Shannen has) got a lot of energy, she’s very headstrong, she wants to get the job done.”

But while promoting her 2021 memoir “Sorry Not Sorry,” Milano claimed that she and Doherty had grown to be at least “cordial.”

“You know, I could take responsibility for a lot of our tension that we had. I think a lot of our struggle came from feeling that I was in competition rather than it being that sisterhood that the show was so much about. And I have some guilt about my part in that.”
