Celebrity Stylist Micaela Erlanger Announces Divorce 2 Years After Blowout Wedding with Emotional Post

Micaela Erlanger is ready for a new chapter in her life.

The celebrity stylist, who works with the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Meryl Streep, Kelly Clarkson and more — announced on Instagram on Dec. 11 that she and her husband of two years, William “Mac” Osbourne, have gone their separate ways.

“This is me: 38, back in New York, and, I am divorced,” she began her lengthy and emotional statement.

“Over the last 10 months I struggled with the idea of sharing something that was so painful and private. I’m aware of how obvious the change in my personal life has been to others, however, I needed time to heal and process this experience on my own,” Erlanger continued in her statement.

She went on to note that she’s “feeling confident” these days since she and Osbourne filed for divorce in March of this year, and she’s “rediscovering true happiness.”

The two were together for eight years before they eloped in St. Barths in May 2021 and had a lavish ceremony in April 2022 in Miami. Erlanger wrote on Instagram that she never expected to leave her marriage “so soon after entering it,” but it was something she found herself needing to do after the “hurt” she’d been through.

“And so with that, as we close out the year, I’m making a declaration: I’m going after the things I want in my life! And for my life! And, I still believe in love! I know in my soul that it will all come,” she closed out her post, ending with, “As the saying goes, the comeback is always stronger than the setback. And that rings very true. Chapter 2 starts now.”

When Erlanger married Osbourne, she had Nyong’o by her side as one of her bridesmaids. The stylist has worked with the Black Panther actress for years, dressing her for a number of award shows, events and everything in between. Nyong’o, who recently went through a breakup of her own, commented on Erlanger’s Instagram, writing, “Thank you for sharing your love and your pain in its loss. I am in your corner and I am rooting for you.”
