Nia Long’s non-son lands in trouble after tent pole attack and some identity theft shenanigans

In a bizarre incident, a man falsely claiming to be Nia Long’s son found himself in hot water after allegedly smacking a stranger with a tent pole.

Tamir Rasool Morris was arrested in Santa Monica last weekend, where he assaulted a random person in a park. Trying to pull off a quick escape, Morris gave cops a false identity, insisting he was Massai Dorsey II, Nia Long’s actual 23-year-old son.

While Morris showed impressive knowledge of Massai’s birth day and month, he slipped up on the year, revealing his true identity when booked and fingerprinted.

The aftermath for the impersonator

Sources suggest Morris likely gathered information from social media in his attempt to impersonate Nia Long’s son.

Despite the not so humorous mix-up, Morris is currently sitting in jail on a $30,000 bail, facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and false impersonation.

Authorities clarify that the real Massai was not involved in the incident, emphasizing that his name was given without his knowledge.

Nia’s life has been upside down as of lately

In a separate development, Nia Long candidly discussed her broken engagement to the Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka in a recent interview. The actress shared insights into the cathartic experience and self-affirmation that followed the public breakup.

Long emphasized the importance of prioritizing self-love over trying to save a relationship and highlighted the impact the breakup had on her and her son Massai from a previous marriage.

While the tent pole incident may be far from humorous, Nia Long’s resilient spirit shines through in both instances.
