Marvin Humes became the sixth campmate to be eliminated from the Australian jungle in Friday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
The JLS singer, 38, left the camp after losing out to Josie Gibson after they both landed in the bottom two in the public vote.
He has narrowly missed out on the iconic Celebrity Cyclone trial as the final four campmates will now tackle the huge slip-and-slide while getting pelted with obstacles in a bid to win stars on Saturday.
Danielle Harold, Nick Pickard, Fred Sirieix, Nella Rose and Frankie Dettori were all previously voted out, after Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent both quit on medical grounds.
Marvin’s exit leaves Josie, Sam Thompson, Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage as the last four remaining in the fight for the crown ahead of Sunday’s much-anticipated final.
Speaking to Ant and Dec after his elimination, Marvin reflected on his ‘bromance’ and close friendship with Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson.
The pair have repeatedly kept the camp entertained with duets and movie-style performances, and Marvin confirmed he has invited Sam to sing with JLS.
He vowed: ‘We said to Sam as well, he’s got to come and perform with me and the lads at some point next year.’
Commenting on his own tunes during his stint in the jungle, Marvin quipped: ‘I didn’t stop singing did I? I never sing that much, not even in JLS!’
When asked who he wants to be crowned the 2023 winner, Marvin named both Sam and actor Tony as he showed his support for his pals.
Marvin has become the sixth star to back Sam for the crown as he seems to have won over viewers and campmates alike with his bubbly and enthusiastic personality.
Despite not making it to the final four, Marvin said he was happy to leave just hours after his wife Rochelle Humes visited the camp on Thursday to show her support.
‘I can’t believe I’ve come this far, to make it to 22 days I think we’ve done,’ Marvin said as he gushed over making to the final five campmates.
Reflecting on Rochelle surprising him in camp for a sweet reunion just one day before his exit, Marvin described it as a highlight of his jungle journey.
‘I’ve never felt the way that I felt about her than in that moment… took my breath away,’ he said of her brief visit, which came when all the campmates’ loved ones surprised them in camp.
He also sweetly gave a message to his three children – Alaia-Mai, 10, Valentina, six, and Blake, two – as he told them he loved them and that he would see them soon.
Marvin was once again reunited with his wife Rochelle, who he married in 2012, as she met him on the iconic bridge and they shared a sweet hug and a kiss.
His exit comes as I’m A Celebrity bosses are said to be watching the weather forecast with ‘baited breath’ as Cyclone Jasper makes its way towards Australia, causing fears for Saturday’s Celebrity Cyclone challenge.
Jasper is forecast to reach high-end category 4 intensity on Thursday and possibly category 5 on Thursday night, the Bureau of Meteorology said in its latest forecast.
The ‘unusual’ cyclone was tracking south-southwest in the Coral Sea with wind gusts expected to reach 121mph on Thursday night.
Producers are reportedly anxious as to how the treacherous weather forecast could impact filming and cause chaos and potential destruction to the I’m A Celebrity set in Springbrook’s National Park, just days away from the final.
‘Production are aware of the threat and the safety of the celebrities is their priority. ITV are watching Cyclone Jasper very closely’, a source told The Sun.
‘The safety of the celebrities is of the utmost importance to ITV and they are monitoring the situation. The timing could not be more apt, as the cyclone is on course to hit when the stars are taking on that very challenge.
‘This year the celebs have had to endure pretty horrible weather and just as the sun started to shine, it’s all going south again. ITV are ready for any eventuality but, ultimately, Cyclone Jasper could be an absolute nightmare and wreak havoc.
A show source told MailOnline: ‘the production team are the best in the business and are used to working in all weather conditions.’
Over the weekend Jasper is likely to weaken but will remain as a tropical cyclone next week.
The bureau will issue regular updates to keep Australia informed as the situation evolves over coming days.
I’m A Celebrity’s fan favourite Celebrity Cyclone is set to take place this weekend with the four remaining celebrities facing an obstacle course in an attempt to get stars for camp, before the all important final on Sunday.
Australia’s cyclone season runs from November to April but is typically most active in February and March.
‘There is a potential for tropical cyclone Jasper to move near the Queensland coast next week (but) there is large uncertainty as to which parts of the Queensland coast will be impacted,’ senior meteorologist Dean Narramore said on Tuesday.
‘The bureau will issue regular updates to keep communities informed as the situation evolves over the coming days.’
All of the eliminated celebrities so far have backed Sam Thompson to win the 2023 series, and on Thursday, EastEnders star Danielle joined them in urging viewers to vote for him in the coming days.
Danielle said: ‘Sam, please vote for Sam… he’s such a trooper, he’s such a great guy.’
Frankie Dettori was the first campmate to be eliminated in the public vote and admitted he thinks Sam will take home the top prize this year.
He said: ‘My bet would be Sam. He brings a lot to the table, he’s entertaining, he is silly, he sings, he is happy and I think what people is going to like about him is all of that. That … to me is the winner.’
Nella Rose was the next star to be voted out of the jungle, and she too said: ‘I think Sam should be King of the Jungle, he has wanted to do this since he was a kid.’
Fred Sirieix left camp on Tuesday after the third public vote and once again bet on Sam to make it all the way in this year’s series.
Earlier this week, viewers were left completely shocked by Nick’s elimination as they gushed over the ‘lovely’ star.
After Nick was the fourth star to be voted out, fans took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to admit they were ‘gutted’ that he had been booted out of the camp.
One wrote: ‘Gutted that Nick has gone,’ and another said: ‘If it was another year Nick would have won, what a lovely man.’
A third penned: ‘Ohhh I liked Nick. Gutted,’ while a fourth tweeted: ‘Nick hadn’t left, it’s a dream and I want to wake up now.’
Nick’s exit came just one day after First Dates star Fred became the third star to be voted out of the camp.
Fred had a drama-filled time in camp after clashing with Nigel Farage over Brexit, rowing with Josie and being confronted by Nella in the ‘Dadgate’ row.
After the spate of drama, many viewers took to social media after Fred’s exit to admit they were pleased to see him go as they branded him as ‘bossy’.
One said: ‘Not really surprising its Fred, his really let himself down with the way his been acting recently tho it has caused tension, drama and been entertaining which has been great.’
Another wrote: ‘Hallelujah Fred has gone!!! He thought he was everything in there….bossy as f**k!!!’ while a third tweeted: ‘ SOOOOO glad Fred has gone! Can’t be arsed to hear him any longer.’
