I’m A Celebrity fans are convinced Tony Bellew is set to explode at a fellow campmate.

The celebrities have been in the jungle for almost two weeks and friendships and alliances have been formed between in camp. However, some viewers think there could be a feud brewing between two unlikely suspects after spotting telltale signs.

While those watching at home have seen Fred Sierex make his bed by telling off Nella Rose and Josie Gibson over their cleaning-up skills, Sam Thompson has only been a source of light relief and comedic entertainment to the camp. And with this in mind, a potential row brewing between him and former boxer Tony Bellew seems all the more hilarious.

The Made in Chelsea star, 31, recently made it known to his fellow celebrities he’s a huge fan of Tony – and he appeared more than excited to have teamed up with the former boxer to win treats for camp. During Thursday’s episode, the pair headed off to take part in a Dingo Dollar Challenge, where they were tasked to match up ringtones to their phone.

The duo had to call the celebrities in camp to sing it to them and match the noises to their devices. They needed to get four answers right to win.

After winning the challenge, they gifted their fellow campmates with chocolate. However, moments before, fans were amused after Sam whacked Tony’s face with his hand. After spotting a mosquito on the 41-year-old former boxer’s face, he exclaimed: “Oh mosquito! Swear on my life.”

He slapped Tony on the forehead, leaving a spot of blood behind – but Tony was less than impressed. Sam turned away, and cheerfully said: “That was dangerous, could’ve got a punch then.” Fans immediately took to X, formerly Twitter to share their reactions to the hilarious scene, with some dubbing the moment the ‘TV highlight of the year’.

One person wrote: “Arguably the best 10 seconds of TV in 2023 courtesy of Sam and Tony.” Another viewer added: “Sam smacking Tony in the face, and Tony in complete disbelief. Has absolutely made my night.”

Despite Sam appearing to enjoy the interaction, other eagle-eyed viewers were convinced that Tony secretly ‘loathes’ the fun-loving star. Rushing to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts, one person wrote: “Tony HATES Sam #ImACeleb.” [sic]

Another fan echoed: “Tony hates Sam so much #ImACeleb.” And someone else chipped in: “Watching Tony & Sam is like watching the older brother forced to drag the little brother out with him.”

Other viewers compared Sam and Tony to DreamWorks characters Shrek and Donkey, voiced by Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy. One person wrote: “Tony & Sam’s friendship is just real life Shrek & Donkey. I’m living for it!.” Another viewer agreed, adding: “Someone said this is Tony & Sam and it’s the most accurate thing ever; #ImACeleb,” sharing a screenshot from the film.
