I’m A Celeb stars’ families arrive in Australia to support loved ones

The family and friends of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me out Of Here! campmates have begun to arrive in Australia.

The celebrities’ loved ones were snapped arriving at Brisbane airport on Wednesday in preparation to greet the stars on the bridge once they are eliminated.

The visitors all looked excited as they arrived Down Under to support their relatives in the jungle.

The first group to arrive included several of the remaining stars’ partners, children and friends who voiced their pride for their famous loved ones.

Currently there are 11 celebrities left in the camp, after Grace Dent quit the show earlier this week.

Those that remain are Josie Gibson, Sam Thompson, Fred Sirieix, Frankie Dettori, Danielle Harold, Nigel Farage, Tony Bellew, Marvin Humes, Nick Pickard, Nella Rose and Jamie-Lynn Spears.

But can you guess which visitors are related to each campmate?

ISABELLE FARAGE

Isabelle Farage was spotted making her way through the airport looking in good spirits, despite the long flight.

The 18-year-old daughter of former politician Nigel Farage beamed while dragging her suitcase along.

She cut a casual figure in a white jumper and beige cargo trousers, paired with brown suede boots.

Isabelle is Nigel’s youngest child who he shared with his estranged second wife Kirsten Mehr.

He also shares daughter Victoria, 23, with Kirsten and two sons with his first wife Gráinne Hayes – Samuel, 34, and Thomas, 32.

In 2015, Nigel told BBC News that his children were ‘teased mercilessly’ due to their relation to him.

REGGIE BOND

Josie Gibson‘s five-year-old son Reggie Bond looked thrilled to be in Australia as he arrived in Brisbane.

Sporting a Team Josie T-shirt while sitting on a baggage trolley, Reggie proudly declared: ‘I think that my mummy’s going to win’.

Reggie, who is used to sleeping with his mum every night, was joined by the This Morning presenter‘s best friend Mia Williams, also from Bristol, who has been looking after Reggie and her son, Romey Williams.

The trio touched down at Brisbane Airport at 9.45am and Mia said: ‘He’s coped really well considering she’s been gone for a couple of weeks now.

‘It’s the longest they’ve been apart, it’s obviously tough all around but he’s been dealing with it well but it’s tough for her you can see that.

‘She is missing him but she’s doing it for him – she wants him to see her on the TV.’

Reggie has been staying with both Mia and his father, Terry Bond, who has known Josie for over 20 years.

The property developer and Big Brother winner started dating in 2017 but split up in 2018 when Reggie was five months old.

Mia revealed she has recorded the episodes of I’m A Celeb and let him watch the next day as the show airs past his bedtime.

Speaking about Josie, she gushed: ‘We’ve been best friends for 19 years. So I saw her the whole way through Big Brother and now she’s killing it, I couldn’t be prouder of her.

‘She’s got the whole of Bristol behind her. We’re here to bring the Queen home. There’s no doubt she’s going to be Queen of the Jungle.’

Before she went into I’m A Celebrity Josie did her utmost to prepare Reggie for her absence and told the Mail: ‘I’ve done him a lot of videos before I left and also I’ve explained everything that I possibly can to him.

‘And I’ve been trying to explain that since I signed up. So, each morning we’ve been waking up and he says “Mummy are we going to Australia now?”

And I go “Not yet Reg”, and he’s going “When are we going into the jungle?” So none of it has come as a shock to him – he’s got his head around it.

‘It is going to be weird but there will be plenty of cuddles when I come out… and it’s all going to be good. He’s going to be experiencing Australia while I’m going to be tucking down on mealworms.’

Mia admitted she showed Reggie all the videos but got them out of the way early.

Josie, who is being paid a six-figure sum to appear on the reality series, turned down invitations for other prime-time shows, saying the option for her son to travel out was ‘a big reason I agreed to do it because obviously to leave Reg is a big ask and commitment’.

FRUITCAKE

Fred Sirieix’s partner, who he affectionately calls Fruitcake, was also spotted touching down in Brisbane on Wednesday.

Fred’s fiancée told MailOnline she was expecting to see more of Fred, who has been showing off his muscles in camp.

‘I haven’t seen clips of him in his Speedos yet and I am surprised,’ she laughed. ‘You know you are allowed to take in five pieces of underwear? He took three speedos and two pants.’

‘If he could he would be a naturist walking round in there so the fact he is just in his pants doesn’t surprise me.’

‘When he is with Gino and Fred he is always the one getting his kit off.’

Of his Speedo collection, Fruitcake added that Fred had packed one pair adorned with the French flag that ‘he lives in.’

When asked if he had opted not to wear them because of his debates with Nigel Farage over Brexit, Fruitcake was adamant: ‘Oh, no, he would pull it on for that reason!’

She was also keen to add that she had a bone to pick with her partner once they were reunited, after he revealed their wedding date to millions of TV viewers.

‘I was shocked and there was some people saying when are the invites coming out? So like thanks,’ she quipped.

She added that she was desperate to see her partner do a trial and confessed she had been ‘voting every day’.

Fruitcake said: ‘Yes please please, please he needs to do a trial. That is what I want, eating something disgusting or he is petrified of spiders. But he needs to do a trial. I have been voting every day for him to do one.’

But she also voiced her pride saying: ‘He has been really patient, so patient Fred. That has really surprised me because I said he had the patience of an ant.’

Speaking about his debates with Nigel, she added: ‘I thought so. It was in an adult way. Yeah. And you don’t always have to agree with someone’s views. And if you can do it in a polite and adult way then great.’

Fruitcake confessed: ‘It is sad being apart from him. I’m gonna sound really selfish here but I’ve really missed his cooking and watching him cook for everyone in the jungle is like, “Wahhh!”‘

RACHAEL ROBERTS

Tony Bellew’s wife Rachael Roberts arrived Down Under on Wednesday along with the couple’s four sons, Carter, Carson, Cobey and Corey.

The family looked cheerful and excited even after a gruelling 21-hour flight, as they revealed they all thoroughly enjoyed watching the former boxer’s revolting drinking Bushtucker Trial.

Rachael told MailOnline: ‘He always comments on me when I have salads and he turns his nose up. Well, he can’t do that considering what he’s been eating in the Jungle.

‘Nothing’s been difficult to watch, I’ve loved every Trial he’s done. I love to see him suffer… in a nice way!

‘But, no, we’re all super proud and we think he’s done amazingly and I’m surprised at the Trials he’s done. We thought he was going to struggle but he’s done great.’

Childhood sweethearts, Tony and Rachel grew up together in nearby Merseyside neighbourhoods and met when they were just nine years old – they are both 40 now.

Their romance was sparked years later when 18-year-old Tony met Racheal on a night out and his three-week stint in the Jungle is the longest time he’s been apart from his family.

She rejected him three times as he was reportedly ‘besotted’ by her.

Speaking about his behaviour in the Jungle, she said: ‘Everyone sees him as this big macho man but he’s super soft and people are seeing that.

‘He’s like that at home, he’s very supportive of his friends and he’s the one to call when you want advice.’

Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson has been overly excited since his ‘boxing hero’ entered the Jungle six days after the show started and hilariously asked him if he could sit on his knee on Tuesday night’s episode.

Rachel said: ‘People at home have been asking me if Sam would be doing Tony’s head in but he wouldn’t. Tony’s very friendly and I’m sure he sees him like a little brother.’

Tony had previously compared Sam’s ‘energetic’ energy to his own brood and said it was ‘not his first rodeo around children’.

During the ITV show, Sam, who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), asked: ‘Can I sit on your knee, Tony?’

Letting him sit, Tony said: ‘Feeling OK, son?’, grinning Sam couldn’t hold back his smile and replied: ‘It’s everything I ever dreamed of.’

Later, in the Bush Telegraph Tony said: ‘He’s just a ball of energy. He never stops. I have four kids. It’s not my first rodeo around children.

‘He is literally the most energetic person I’ve ever met in my bloody life.’

PETE WICKS

Meanwhile, Pete Wicks soon also touched down in Australia to support his best pal Sam Thompson.

While some celebs will have their mother, father and partners waiting for them at the end of the bridge, Sam, 31, has chosen to have just his best friend fly Down Under.

The TOWIE star, 35, will be the one who greets the Made In Chelsea star at the end of the bridge when he leaves camp instead of Sam’s girlfriend Zara McDermott.

Sam turned down the opportunity for his girlfriend Zara, 26, to greet him once he escapes the jungle despite her being voted off Strictly Come Dancing in time to make the flight.

Zara told Fleur East on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show: ‘When I left Strictly I was like “Shall I pack my case?” and he went “Oh no it’s already been arranged Pete is coming”.’

She continued: ‘When I suggested maybe Pete and I could both go, he said, “No, just Pete!” Maybe I can get Pete to take a cardboard cut-out of me … But you know what it’s fine, absolutely fine.

‘I’ve got all the time in the world to live with him and see him. If he wants Pete at the end of that bridge I respect and appreciate that – also I can’t wait to see that hug!’

Zara was eliminated from Strictly in week six, while Sam, who had gambled on her still being in the competition, jetted off to Australia for his own reality TV adventure.

Speaking to breakfast hosts Fleur East and James Barr, he said: ‘When they asked [me to go into the jungle] I did think, if Zara was still on Strictly would I be a bad boyfriend if I went – but then decided I had to!’

This decision made him question whether he would even have a girlfriend by the end of the three-week competition.

He said: ‘As it turns out she’s tapping out of Strictly just as I’m tapping in. But because I thought she would still be doing Strictly, Pete’s coming with me!

‘I don’t know if I’m going to have a girlfriend at the end of it…’

Speaking about Sam on the show, Pete recently said his friend ‘should not be defined by his ADHD and autism‘.

The TV personality told MailOnline that fans need to ’embrace’ Sam’s excitable personality after he was branded ‘attention seeking’ and ‘annoying’ by viewers.

Earlier this year, Sam was diagnosed with ADHD and autism after undergoing tests in his Channel 4 documentary and said the realisation was a ‘weight lifted off his shoulders.’

Pete said his friend’s diagnosis means he will struggle with life in the jungle, but it shouldn’t stop ITV viewers from getting to know the real Sam on a more personal level.

Pete quipped: ‘Sam is a grower, not a shower, let’s put it that way. I know he got a bit of grief on the first night for being over the top but that is him and that’s the reason that everyone loves him. I think he’s a superstar just the way he is. It just takes a bit of time if you’re not used to it.’

Pete continued: ‘It’s like having a big child… that’s how he sees me, I like to think it’s brotherly, but I think he sees me as his dad.

‘He is quite obviously aggravating, however, that is the Sam that we know, and love and I specifically love. I’m hoping that he can continue being the happy puppy that he is.

‘Sam struggles with boredom and a lot of things because of his ADHD and autism but that shouldn’t be seen as a bad thing. I have read a lot of comments and it’s something that I believe shouldn’t define him.

‘People should embrace that because he’s entertaining and that’s what the show is about. He should be defined by the fact that he’s a really fun, positive guy and that’s his personality aside from having ADHD and autism.’

SARAH CORRIN

The first arrival at Brisbane airport on Tuesday morning was Nick Pickard’s girlfriend, Sarah Corrin.

Sarah, who has been in a relationship with Nick for several years, was in great spirits despite her long flight, beaming for the cameras as she pushed her luggage through arrivals.

She told MailOnline she had been begging family and friends to vote for the Hollyoaks actor for his first Bushtucker Trial.

‘I’ve still yet to see him do a Bushtucker Trial and all my friends and family are like, “What shall we do?”

And I keep saying, “Vote! Vote” and people are like you’re not meant to vote him in but I think we are! I think he’d enjoy it.’

‘I’ve heard a lot of people say we’ve not seen enough of him on the screen,’ she added.

The 48-year-old is the longest-running soap actor on Hollyoaks – playing Tony Hutchinson for 28 years – but he is one of the only celebrities on this year’s show yet to have been voted in for a Bushtucker Trial.

Sarah said: ‘It’s nice people get to see the Nick part of him and not just Tony. But you haven’t seen all of him yet. I’ve wanted him to do it for years.

‘He’s very competitive and a good team player so that’s why I’ve always said, out of all the things he could do, I’m A Celebrity would be a good one for him.’

The couple live together in Liverpool but their relationship has remained out of the public eye.

Sarah added: ‘I’m really surprised I haven’t seen him have a hunger tantrum. He is the most positive upbeat person you’ll ever meet but don’t mess with him and his food.

‘When people are going off for the Trials he’s like “Don’t worry if you don’t get all the stars” but I know on the inside he’s like inside, “You have to get all the stars”.’

LISA MARIE CARTER

Danielle Harold’s mother, Lisa Marie Carter, looked delighted as she arrived at Brisbane on Tuesday.

She was joined by Danielle’s stepdad David Murray and friend Avinash Goury, all ready to greet the EastEnders’ star.

Speaking to MailOnline at the airport, Lisa revealed that she’s incredibly proud of her daughter and said that whatever happens Danielle is ‘a winner’ in her eyes.

Lisa said: ‘She’s doing really, really well, I knew she would be determined.’

Admitting her daughter’s bravery in the Bushtucker Trials had ‘inspired’ her to conquer her own fears, Lisa mused: ‘I don’t know how she does it, I’m not a good at heights and she’s inspired me to jump on a plane and get out here…

‘She just keeps being herself, she’s very caring. She’s already a winner in my eyes anyway, I’m really proud.

‘I knew she would give it a good go but I am a bit surprised at how much she has thrown herself into it. She was anxious going in.

‘I am not worried now though because I can see she looks happy and she is enjoying herself.

‘It is a bit weird watching her as herself on TV, it is almost like we are sharing her with everyone.’

David went on to reveal his highlight had been watching her deal with the bugs in trials, quipping: ‘You can see her jumping around like a jack in a box, me and her younger brother are loving watching that.’
