I’m A Celeb’s Marvin Humes’ secret signal to home ‘confirmed’ by JLS bandmate

Eagle-eyed I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here viewers have already spotted Marvin Humes’ secret signal to his loved ones back at home appears to have been confirmed by his JLS bandmate. The singer and DJ was among the ten initial campmates to head Down Under earlier this month.

Marvin and his fellow campmates have since been joined by two latecomers, Frankie Dettori and Tony Bellew, while Grace Dent has since, unfortunately, quit the programme on ‘medical grounds’.

And while the famous faces are away from their luxury lives and normal jobs and instead getting used to jungle life and taking on Bushtucker trials, one thing they are obviously missing is their loved ones.

For Marvin, the 38-year-old flew out to Australia just two days after he finished up his latest tour with bandmates Aston Merrygold, JB GIll and Oritse Williams. His stint in the show means he’s been without contact with his family since and may not speak to them for up to four weeks if he makes it to the end of the competition.

But his wife Rochelle has recently revealed how the families of the campmates do get updates about their loved ones and don’t just have to see the edited episode that makes it on the screens every night.

“The producer calls us earlier on in the day and they say, this is what’s going to happen tonight and they tell me that he’s doing ok. It’s sort of like a courtesy call,” she explained as she hosted This Morning.

Marvin’s move has been spotted

But I’m A Celeb viewers have come to spot when the campmates are sending messages to their families without having to say a word – and Marvin’s no different.

The dad-of-three – who shares Alaia-Mai, 10, and Valentina, six, and three year old son Blake with Rochelle – has been spotted tapping his fist on his heart when he knew the cameras would be on him – which is when Ant and Decn enter camp and the names of those facing the Bushtucker trials are read out.

And the move appears to have been confirmed by pal and bandmate Aston as when following along with the show over the weekend and giving running commentary, he also tapped his chest in the same way, seemingly knowing the reasons behind the gesture.
