I’m A Celebrity star set to work with Ant and Dec again

A former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant has officially signed on the dotted line and will be working with Ant and Dec once again.

Jordan North has landed a presenting role on the final series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

The last series of the ITV1 programme is set to hit screens at the beginning of next year.

The Radio 1 DJ, 33, told the Daily Star: ‘I’m going to be doing the new series. I don’t know exactly what I’ll be doing, but I know I’m booked to do it.’

With work set to commence on the show in the coming weeks, he continued: ‘We are having a meeting next month to talk about the series.’

Back:  The Radio One DJ, 33, was the show's resident roving reporter on the previous series

In the most recent season of the show, Jordan was travelling across the nation as the show’s resident roving reporter.

Jordan has previously shared the stage with Ant and Dec, having competed in the 2020 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The podcaster came second to Giovanna Fletcher who bagged the jungle crown when the show was filmed in Conwy, Wales due to COVID restrictions.

This comes after Ant & Dec shocked fans across the nation when they sensationally quit Saturday Night Takeaway last May.

Ant and Dec , both 48, announced that the BAFTA-winning show will take a hiatus after 2024.

The double act will continue their exclusive working relationship with ITV, hosting hit shows including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Britain’s Got Talent and Limitless Win.

Ant said: ‘We love making Saturday Night Takeaway, but reaching the milestone of 20 series seemed like the perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath.’

Dec added: ‘We still have a momentous 20th series to look forward to first so we will do our best to go out (for now) with a bang in 2024!’

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, produced by Lifted Entertainment (part of ITV Studios) and Mitre Studios, will return next year for its final instalment.

The series has birthed many iconic segments, including Win the Ads, Undercover, Get Out Of Me Ear, The End of Show Show and the Happiest Minute of the Week.

The most recent series launched in February had ITV1’s biggest overnight audience of the year – and the biggest entertainment audience across any channel – with 6.4 million viewers tuned in.

The show’s combination of live, high energy, feel good fun has seen the format achieve multiple BAFTA and National Television Awards since launching in 2002.

Kevin Lygo, ITV Managing Director, Media and Entertainment, said: ‘When you think of Saturday night television you think of Saturday Night Takeaway.

‘Over 20 series the show has become a cultural phenomenon, and while we eagerly anticipate what Ant & Dec have up their sleeves for the 2024 series, we completely understand their desire to take a pause, take stock, and think about what the next incarnation of the show might look like.’
