Timothée Chalamet has a perfect puzzle for you.
The 27-year-old star of the upcoming “Wonka” film serenaded his Golden Globe-winning co-star Hugh Grant with the “Oompa Loompa” song Tuesday at the Tokyo premiere of the movie.
In a moment fans are calling “cringe,” Grant, 63, said onstage, “I’ve always been very nice to my films, and I really hope you like it.”
“He’s really good at it,” he added, gesturing to Chalamet.
“He’s really good at it,” the “Dune” star, who was sporting a leather violet Prada jumpsuit and white boots, said of Grant, before singing, “Oompa loompa doom-pa-dee-do.”
Grant, who portrays an Oompa Loompa in the upcoming flick, covered his face in embarrassment at the sound of Chalamet’s tune, making the awkward moment easy for fans to make fun of on social media.
“I can feel the cringe 😬. This is cheese and cringe on toast,” one commented.
“Hugh is so embarrassed,” a second claimed.
“Why is Timothy dressed like a cheap Elvis impersonator?” a third asked about Chalamet’s outfit on X, formerly known as Twitter.
However, one fan urged the others to treat Chalamet with kindness.
“Jesus, everyone being so negative. It’s a kids movie. Lighten the eff up. If you don’t wanna see it, don’t,” they wrote. “Go be a miserable git somewhere else.”
“Wonka” hits theaters on Dec. 15.
