I’m A Celebrity viewers demand key change from producers

A new batch of celebrities have officially arrived in the jungle.

This year’s campmates were sent off to three different locations all over Australia. A handful landed in the scorching Australian outback, some were sent to the Gold Coast, and more were escalated up a nauseatingly high skyscraper.

As part of the launch day challenge, four celebrities were tasked with collecting stars by sidestepping across the building and onto a small pole, all without a safety net below.

The daredevil mission was no easy feat for the celebrities but viewers at home admitted they were fed up with the same task every year. The sky-scraper challenge has been the first episode’s hurdle for several years in a row at this point, with many fans begging for it to go.

Issuing a plea to producers, one viewer said: “I love how the producers re-use this tall building challenging every year, they must’ve signed a 20-year lease.” Another added: “Can’t the producers come up with something else for the opening episode every season than this high-building plank walk thing? We’ve seen this like 10 times.”

While a third said: “This building has the #ImACeleb producers in a chokehold.” Before a final viewer added: “When will they learn that we aren’t interested in watching people walk on a high building.”

Radio DJ Sam Thompson Sam, EastEnders star Danielle Harold, TV presenter Fred Sirieix and food critic Grace Dent were chosen to tackle the skyscraper, with all four managing to do so without anyone pulling out.
