Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of rape, physical abuse for over a decade by singer Cassie: suit

Sean “Diddy” Combs was accused Thursday of rape and repeated physical abuse for over a decade by Cassie, an R&B singer once signed to his label, according to a new bombshell lawsuit.

The suit, filed in Manhattan federal court, alleged the legendary music producer and rapper trafficked, raped and viciously beat Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, starting in 2005 and up until 2018.

Among the allegations, Ventura, 37, claims Combs, 54, regularly fed her drugs and alcohol, forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters and blew up the car of a man he learned was romantically interested in her. When she tried to leave the relationship in 2018, Combs allegedly forced Ventura into her own home and raped her.

“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” Ventura said in a statement announcing the laundry list of allegations.

“With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life.”

Combs’ attorney Ben Brafman denied the allegations in a statement to the New York Times.

“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” he said. “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.”

The two first met in 2005.

The pair had a a public on-and-off-again relationship that she claims started shortly after meeting in 2005, when she was just 19 and he was 37.

Combs signed Ventura to his label Bad Boy Records and subsequently plunged the teenager into a “fast-paced, and drug-fueled lifestyle” that later left her grappling with substance abuse issues, the complaint alleges.
