Inside the Lavish Celebrity Rental Where Past Residents Include Paul McCartney and Ozzy Osbourne

There are celebrity homes and then there are celebrity magnets. Just take this Los Angeles estate, which has seen a slew of A-list residents over the past 80 years.

The gated compound, built in Beverly Hills, California, in 1941, is on the market for just shy of $20 million and was a Hollywood home right from the start. It was built for Bert Lahr, best known for starring as the Cowardly Lion alongside Judy Garland in “The Wizard of Oz.”

In the decades since, actress Betty Grable; jazz musician Harry James; Paul McCartney; Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith; and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, have all called the property home. Mansion Global reporter Liz Lucking highlights the notable address in the latest episode of our YouTube series.

See for yourself what gives the house such star attraction.
