Bad Bunny’s flirty musical shoutout to Sofia Vergara has sparked some playful exchanges between the two celebrities.
In his song “Monaco,” released on his latest album, the rapper expressed admiration for the “Modern Family” star, singing, “Sofía Vergara es linda, pero es más linda en persona,” which translates to “Sofia Vergara is beautiful, but she is more beautiful in person.”
Vergara, who separated from Joe Manganiello in July, decided to reciprocate the compliment in a playful manner.
She took to Instagram on Friday, sharing a snippet of the song’s music video in which Bad Bunny appears in an F1 racing-themed segment. Along with the video, Vergara posted a caption, saying, “Mas lindo eres tu @badbunnypr ,” which translates to “You are cuter.”
The song sparks a fan war
The exchange has not gone unnoticed by fans, who engaged in a friendly debate in the comments. Some cheered on Vergara, declaring their preference for her, while others playfully encouraged her to “snatch”Bad Bunny from Kendall Jenner.
The Puerto Rican singer, who has been in a relationship with the reality TV star since early this year, didn’t miss a beat when sparking dating rumors with the “Kardashians” star. They have since been more public about their relationship, even teaming up for a Gucci ad campaign.
The witty exchange and playful social media interaction between Sofia Vergara and Bad Bunny have kept fans entertained while they wait for more developments in this light-hearted exchange between two beloved celebrities.
And it is not the only reference in Bad Bunny’s repertoire
While Bad Bunny’s lyrics may not directly reference his relationship with Jenner, fans believe they have uncovered subtle hints.
In his song “Fina,”Bad Bunny sings, “Que yo soy un bellaco, pero tú me gana’ / Bien arrebata’o chingando en casa de tu hermana,” which translates to, “That I’m a scoundrel, but you beat me / very rapt f-king at your sister’s house.”
It remains unclear which of Jenner’ssisters the rapper is referring to, if any.
Bad Bunny’s album also featured a nod to another Colombian star, Shakira, as he reinterpreted one of her viral quotes in his song “Los Pits.”
