Celebrities from EastEnders, Love Island and Britain’s Got Talent have taken part in a charity kickabout.

Dorchester Town Football Club hosted the match on Saturday afternoon at their Avenue Stadium in Weymouth.

Fundraiser Graham Butler teamed up with Sellebrity Soccer to organise the event, which he said was “a truly memorable experience”.

He said around 1,000 people attended the game and it raised £15,000 for Tommy’s, the baby charity.

Model Callum Best, actor Dean Gaffney and Love Island contestant Ouzy See were among the famous faces who made their way to Dorset for the game.

Britain’s Got Talent finalist Flintz also took to the pitch.

Mr Butler, from Weymouth, said: “Every single one of the celebs were so kind and humble, they couldn’t do enough for us.

“It has put Weymouth and Dorchester on the map and we are already in talks to bring the match back next year.”

He thanked everyone involved in the day and commented on the importance of fundraising for Tommy’s, a charity which works to make births and pregnancies safe.

He said: “I’ve had three friends who have had miscarriages and one who has had a still birth, so it’s now become quite close to my heart.”

Local players and celebrities took part in the game which the blue team won by 10 goals to nine against the red team.

Sellebrity Soccer arranges regular, large-scale celebrity football matches across the UK.
