What a fox!
Drew Barrymore did her best impersonation of Julia Fox on Wednesday’s episode of her talk show, “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
The actress and host slowly morphed into her foxy guest, who has become known for her daring fashion sense, see-through looks and barely-there garments that leave little to the imagination.
Barrymore, 48, began the interview by informing Fox, who was promoting her new memoir “Down the Drain,” that she admired her style.
“I would love to be like you,” she told Fox. “Could you make me into you?”
As the two women continued their discussion, the “Forbidden Fruits” podcaster helped the “Charlie’s Angels” actress tap into her inner Fox by giving her a smoky eye, complete with dramatic eyeliner and eyeshadow.
Barrymore then asked the 33-year-old if she has a future in the fashion world, saying: “I wanted to ask you if you’ve ever thought about doing a fashion show?”
Fox then announced she is indeed launching a new competition show called “OMG Fashun!,” which is described on the website as “the craziest, most rule-breaking fashion competition for a major TV network.”
It was at that moment that Barrymore bolted off the stage, leaving her guest in a state of shock. “Wait, where is she going?” a puzzled Fox asked the audience. “Is this normal? Does she always do this?”
The “Uncut Gems” actress joked that she was “taking over” before the episode cut to a commercial break.
When it returned, Barrymore popped back onstage with an edgy look ready to make headlines. In addition to wearing a pair of statement platform thigh-high boots by Marc Jacobs, Barrymore turned up the heat in a gray pleated plaid skirt, a spiked belt, a massive chain necklace and a deconstructed denim top.
The edgy look was inspired by an outfit Fox previously wore outside of the “Good Morning America” set in New York City on Sept. 27.
Barrymore walked out in mega-high platform Marc Jacobs boots, a belted pleated plaid skirt and a deconstructed denim top accessorized with a chunky necklace, all inspired by a grunge-forward look previously worn by Fox.
Fox, who stated earlier that she was summoning her own “Drewlia” energy rocking a Barrymore-inspired oversized tweed suit, definitely approved of the fashion swap.
“Oh my god! Wow! This is amazing,” Fox exclaimed. “You look amazing. I love you!”
